I`m Back!

I`m back and feeling much better, thanks so much for you kind comments and emails. I went back to work on Wednesday as I was bored at home, I felt a bit better and besides, I don`t get paid for being off sick. I do however have a painful shoulder, not helped, no doubt by playing my new game, Jewel Quest for far to long. I think it`s caused by my job but I should know not to aggravate it.

Kerry and Slava collect the keys to their new home on Tuesday and will move in on 10th November. They are really excited and can`t wait to get into their own house. I`m going to apply for holiday on Friday and Monday so I can go and help Kerry with the cleaning that we are certain it will need, that is unless the previous owner has done it himself, which I very much doubt. Personally I couldn`t sell a house in that condition, I`d have to leave it spotless but he obviously doesn`t care at all.

Kerry starts working in the mornings on Monday so I won`t be looking after Roman anymore. It`s really hit me that he won`t be coming to me each afternoon and a bit of me feels sad, not that I`d say anything to Kerry or Jim. It`s illogical to feel like this because I`ll have more time to myself and won`t feel so tired all the time but I can`t help it, we`ve become so close.  Anyway, Roman will have a decent bedtime and won`t have to be woken up, put in the car and taken home, sometime as late as 10pm each night, which Jim and I really didn`t like. As it is he`ll be staying here at weekend with Kerry as Slava will be away for the weekend....and the weekend they move he`s staying for a couple of nights....and in December he`ll be coming away with us to Kent for the weekend...lol! You could say we`ll be seeing a lot of him in the near future and I wouldn`t have it any other way!

At last my car sun roof is repaired and isn`t leaking (at least it wasn`t this morning!) I took it too the garage last Monday but they had no record of the booking I made. When I explained the circumstances they still didn`t know what was going on and the customers sevices person who looked all of 14 told me it had to be tested for a leak first...WHAT!   I told him in as polite a voice I could manage that it had already been done. He said I`d missed the appointment, I said I hadn`t and that I needed a new sunroof, he said "Do you?," I said "YES!". Well after leaving my key with them I went to work thinking all was well, was it h**l! In the afternoon after several fruitless phone calls I managed to speak to someone who told me that nobody knew anything about my car! At this point the red mist descended and I told the poor man what I thought about the garage and the aftersales service in no uncertain terms...grrrr! Anyway, to cut a long stry short it was done for me on the Tuesday and is home with me and leak-free...at last! I will NOT be going back to that garage....ever!

Anyway my friends, I`ll say goodbye for now. Take care and have a good week. :o)

Hiya Sandra. As you know I haven't visited your Blog for some time. I have been busy going out and about visiting friends and relatives i.e. Devon, Bath, Chelmesford - Essex, Boston - Lincs and the Ipswich area in Suffolk plus a short stay in hospital. The biggest time consumer when I get on to the internet is the vast quantities of e-mails to be read and downloads of videos and slideshows. As I write this I have 30 e-mails waiting for me to read. The majority of these are not worth passing on. I only forward on the good ones. I am glad you enjoy them. You and a friend in America are the only ones, out of the 25 people in my address book, that comment when you enjoy a particular e-mail. I am also busy working on old and new photographs for the family archives. plus sound CD's and Visual DVD's of music and family photos.

I am glad you are feeling better and that you are back to work. I must try and catch up on your Blog more often.

Regards Dan.

Sounds like a lot of good news.  So glad you are better, you're not the only one who hasn't posted in a while, I need to get busy.  Hope your care finally gets fixed right, for goodness sake.  Joni

Lots of good news!!  So glad you are feeling better and could go back to work.  Good news about your daughter and her husband's big move.  They must be so happy!  I don't think it's illogical to be sad about Roman not coming as often.  I understand completely.  You've been so close.  It's wonderful that he will be close enough to have a lot of good visiting time with him!
Hugs, Kathy

Glad to hear they finally are getting to move into their new house.  I have lots of empty Avon boxes they can have for packing...just have Slava stop by and pick them up. LOL   I know you'll miss Roman, you've had him in your care almost from day one.  But, somehow I don't think he'll forget you...the bonding has taken place.   Linda in Washington state

I'm glad you can get back to work now and I hope your shoulder won't play up too much. Up until two years ago we never got sick pay but we do now. I know you'll miss Roman but at least you had him in his early years and bonded with him. He'll love going to Kent with you! I don't believe that garage you used, how do they keep their customers and stay afloat! Oops, sorry, the 'afloat' wasn't an intended pun on your leaky sunroof! Lol! I'm so sorry for all the troubles with the car. I would have done the same thing and not ever go back to that garage. Because you know the same thing would happen again and again.
Glad your feeling better too!

Take care.

Glad you are feeling better. I know what you mean exactly about not keeping Roman so much. The 2 of our granddaughters and son who have been here for over a year and a half will leave someday (I THINK...LOL). There is a possibilitly he will be cut off  during the winter so we have asked him to stay thru then and see how it goes. But OH how I will miss them when they have to leave.
I am tickled pink for Kerry and Slava. I can't imagine anyone selling their house dirty. I guess it didn't matter to the sellers! You're a peach taking the time to help clean.
Have a wonderful weekend.

It will be an adjustment not having Roman each day. I'm sure you'll miss him. He's such a dolly!
I'm glad you got the car fixed. I had to laugh at when you said "the red mist descended" ...I liked that!!  Sorry it was such a hassle though. I just hate car problems.
Have a great day Sandra,
Pam
