Problems, Problems!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to a scorching hot Monday. Here in the computer room I`ve got the fans blowing more to keep the PC cool than anything else.  Today started well for me as I had a good nights sleep and woke up really refreshed.  When I feel this good it`s like I`m ready to take on the world, little did I know that might actually happen.  I had a phone call from Jim saying that Danny had called him to say that his landlady had given him 3 months notice to quit his flat and he has no idea why at the moment.  I don`t see how she can do this because he has a 6 month contact and he has more than kept his side of the bargain.  The place was in a bit of a state when he moved in but he and Salina scrubbed it from top to bottom, especially the kitchen that had cooking stains all over the white walls and cupboards.  At the time he has to move out is when he is due to leave for Egypt.  Jim has told him to contact the woman and ask why she`s done this and to point out that he has tenant`s rights, his rent is up to date and she`s not selling up so he has no idea what she`s up to.  She has been difficult from the time he took the flat on.  Dan complained to the estate agents that the flat needed a clean, the woman was indignant and said it already had been but grudgingly said she`d do it again.  Then there was a mix-up with the rent, Dan paid by direct debit but she had given the wrong bank details and the money order was sent back to him.  She got very angry and accused him of non-payment of rent even though his bank had records of his transactions, and even made a veiled threat about bringing her husband round to see him!  Anyway,  I really don`t want him to lose his holiday so Jim and I will suggest that he moves in with us until afterwards and then look for another flat.  At the moment though we hope he can sort things out with her while I`m going to find out what his rights are in the matter.

Later this morning I looked out of the window and saw black smoke across the road behind the primary school.  Three fire engines arrived but drove past and into the site just along the road where building has just commenced on the new Sikh faith school scheduled to open in September 2007.  I`m sure it`ll be in the local newspaper on Friday and I`ll let you know what happened.

This afternoon I bathed Jake, or more like gave him a complete beauty treatment.  I soaped him thoroughly and rinsed him off with a watering can and he seemed to enjoy it immensely, not shaking himself until I had completely rinsed and towel-dried him.  When he was dry I brushed all the loose fur off of him and sprayed a conditioning finishing spray all over his coat and brushed him until he shone blue-black.  Then I cleaned his teeth, eyes, ears and checked his claws.  He looks and smells absolutely gorgeous, shame it won`t last very long!

All nice and clean!

Right, that`s it for now,  I hope you`re all having a lovely day and that the weather is how you like it.  Take care and Bye Bye for now.

What a shame about your sons flat that does not seem fare to me. Jake is looking a picture with his shinning black coat I think all your work was worth it. Hope he stays like that for a few day at least. Love Joan.

I hope that witch landlady doesnt evict Danny. She sounds like a piece of work. Jake looks so happy, healthy and handsome. There is a home on fire about 2 blocks from my house right now...you can hear fire trucks everywhere.

Crikey Sandra, Jake actually let you do all that......Sam does a runner at the mere sight of a doggie shampoo bottle, let alone any moisture getting hear him, LOL!! Sounds like Danny's landlady has got a bee in her bonnnet and just wants him out no matter what and is looking for the most silly reasons! Wish him luck but if she is like that I would want out anyway!!!

Danny's landlady sounds like an impossible rhymes-with-witch and I'm sure he does have rights if they both signed a contract.  But I'm not sure I would want to leave my possessions in the flat while I went away for a week or two if that's the way she is.

So nice that Jake not only accepts but seems to enjoy his beauty makeover.  Many just would not be still long enough for all of that.  He looks gorgeous and I can almost smell his wonderful frangrance!

I think it'd be better if Danny moved in with you for a time till he has a new place, the landlady sounds horrible. Jake looks very handsome, bet he finds something smelly to roll in by tomorrow! Jeannette xx

Poor Danny...what a mess.  Hopefully he can find another place, move into it & get settled before he's due to leave.  I know of a nice place for rent, but it's here in Washigton.  It would be a long commute.  Linda in WA

Must've been a job giving Jake the "complete" beauty treatment - LOL.
I love your little table and I see the window open with pretty lace curtains blowing---I think you have good decorating taste.
