Hello everyone,
I hope you`re all enjoying the lovely weather we`re having here, it`s been another glorious day though a little cooler than yesterday with a bit of a breeze. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday, once I`d disposed of the ironing that is. Danny came over for dinner, and Kerry brought Roman over early so she could say goodbye to her little brother before she goes to Russia. We sat outside and ate dinner on the patio....well actually it was on a table but you know what I mean...lol! When I eventually sat down at the computer I couldn`t be bothered to post my own entry and read all the alerts instead.
Today was to be quite an eventful day. Jim had to go out this morning and so did I, but in opposite directions so I took my own car. I wanted to visit the garden centre for another couple of Summer plants and another pot. On Friday I bought a terracotta teapot to put a plant in, as I bought it from the 99p shop it really was a bargain. I digress, First off I took our winter weight duvet to the launderette, I think I attracted some funny looks as I struggled along the road with the kingsize quilt. I did try to stop the car outside the shop but there was no room to I had to park at the other end of the parade..typical. I then drove to the garden centre, bought a bush fuschia, a trailing petunia and a pot. I asked the manageress if there were any jobs going but she said they weren`t allowed to hire any more staff, despite needing them badly. Just my luck! Then it was to Lidl`s supermarket where I bought some nappies, they have a great Italian brand there that I`ve not seen anywhere else. They are far better than any of the main British brands, being a far better fit and a sensible price too.
When I got home I was just about to unpack my shopping when Jim pulled up in his car looking a bit upset about something. He told me that Kerry had had a bit of an accident on the way home from town. She and Roman weren`t hurt but only because of her quick thinking. She was about to join the roundabout from the carpark when a car jumped the lights and nearly hit her on the side where Roman was strapped in his carseat. She swerved to avoid him and hit a concrete bollard damaging her front wing and offside front tyre. The driver of the car didn`t even stop to see if she was alright. Kerry has rung her insurance company and they will settle her claim and see the work is carried out on her car when she gets home from Russia, at least she doesn`t have that worry hanging over her while she`s away.
Look at me Mum, I`m standing on my head!
I thought you might like to see this photo of Roman doing his latest trick, he has just started to crawl in a very unusual way, a bit like a crab I reckon. Mind you, he`s started to pull himself up too so I wouldn`t be surprised if he doesn`t start to walk soon. I know I`m really going to miss having my Little Man around for the next ten days. I have to admit to shedding a tear this afternoon after Kerry went home, I know I shouldn`t because i`m going to the airport tomorrow to see them off. Kerry has finished all her packing and I was helping her with a last couple of things though she seemed to have everything under control. Even her seat on the plane has been booked. She has been given a special seat for passengers with babies so that`s one less thing for her to worry about. All that`s left for us to do is fix Roman`s carseat in Jim`s car and we are all ready to go.
Jake, (who has made an exellent recovery from his injured leg), is in disgrace. I found him in the garden chewing the main stem from one of my beloved clematis...the stem, however was not on the plant, no he had removed it and taken it onto the lawn for a good old chew. The thing is that particular clematis wasn`t doing very well until this year when it really took off and flowered prolifically. And there was me thinking how good he had been not ruining the plants this year...grrrrrr!
Well I am hoping for an early night tonight as I have to get up at 5am...yawn! I doubt I`ll make an entry tomorrow as Jim and I will be going out for the day. I hope you all have a nice evening, Bye Bye for now and take care. :o)

Auful about Kerrys car, but thank God they weren't hurt.
Happy to hear Jakes leg is doing well. Chewing up your plant, well maybe he needed to "brush" his teeth. LOL

Give Kerry my best wishes for a safe journey. Sorry to hear about her prang, typical isn't it.....things always happen on the day before going away!!! Take care, and hope you don't get too sad at the airport, but she will be back with Roman soon.

so very glad that Kerry and Roman are all right. It'ws been very hot here, but cooler today and overcast, which is normal in a coastal town. Ive been lazy today, just hanging around the house and enjoying my day off work. I hope your day went well. Blessings, Penny
I'm so glad Kerry and Roman are OK after the accident, how rude of the other driver not to stop. Sorry to hear Jake's in the doghouse again, he does seem to like to chew things doesn't he?! I hope Kerry has a lovely holiday in Russia and Roman's pleased to see his dad again. Jeannette xxxx
Great pic of Roman.OMG glad Kerry and Roman werent badly hurt in that accident.Dont suppose she managed to get the other guys number plate. She'd do well to find if there were any witnesses and maybe ring the police.
Glad you family are OK after their bump that could have been very nasty. Hope you plant will be OK and recovers from being chewed. Love Joan.

I do believe he's going to be an acrobat, that little guy! Or, maybe with his Russian blood, an Olympic gymnast--they seem to be exceptional at gymnastics. Poor Jako--in the doghouse again! But, as beautiful as the clematis was, it didn't have a glossy black coat, a waggy tail and a cold, wet nose, so maybe forgiveness is not too far away. Hope you all have a good time toorrow giving Kerry and Roman a royal sendoff.
so glad that the accident was only minor. . can you believe there are people out there who will not stop!LOL at Roman on his head. . bet he walks very soon. I am nervous fr Kerry going all the way to Russia but bet shes confident.I will miss little man and his antics.I hope they have a safe journey.
Hi Sandra !!!!!!! I thought you might like to hear from me so here I am. It was a lovely day here in Atlanta as well it wasn't too hot as it has been so it was a welcome relief. My new puppy is doing well and getting bigger I might add. I love the pictures of the little one. I hope her trip to Russia is a nice one. I myself have never been to Russia. I would have liked being there and having dinner on the patio that sounds nice. I love the pictures of the pigs those are quite wonderful. Tell Jim hello for me. When Kerry returns ask her how Russia is for me I would like to hear about the differences between Russia and Georgia are. My new puppy Hobo is also chewing everything he sees. Have a great day and take care. Byyyyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad Kerry and Roman were not hurt in the car accident! They were lucky! I'm sure you'll miss them so much when they are in Russia. But, the time will go fast. Just watch! Maybe he'll come home walking?! Wouldn't that be something??
Have a good day tomorrow.
