Water, Water Everywhere!

Hello everyone,

The Spring weather is taking a bit of a rest for now while it allows the rain to fall.  It`s been pouring down all day but it is very much needed.  As it is we`ll probably have another drought this Summer and they are even saying that water will become the most precious commodity on the planet in years to come...that does sound worrying.  Jake didn`t have as long a walk as usual this morning though he did get a long run later when Jim came home from work.  I have to admit that walking around the streets in the pouring rain holds little appeal and I have a feeling Jake feels the same.  He loves water if a) he can swim in it or b) he can roll in it, but as for walking in it, forget it.  He just walks a bit quicker than usual and keeps his head down as if to say, come on woman, get a move on!.  This morning on our way back a woman was walking behind with her daughter of about 7 or 8.  The child insisted on running up behind Jake and screaming, of course he didn`t like it one bit and started to get quite jumpy.  Did Mum say anything to her `sweet` little child?  Oh no! So that went on for the last couple of hundred yards until we were home when Jake couldn`t wait to get indoors, and who could blame him!

Kerry came over this afternoon and I took these two photos of Roman and Kerry.

He always sits in the highchair now when we sit in the dining room.  He was in a right mess because he`d just eaten a baby biscuit.  It was the second one I gave him because he decided to give the first one to Jake who took it eagerly!  The second he managed to polish off without help.  The problem with these biscuits is that they look like dog biscuits although they DO taste better!  He is trying to stand all the time now and he`s developing this funny little habits too.  He likes to make this funny choking noise which at first frightened the life out of us as it really sounds as if he is choking.  Another one is that he keeps fluttering his eyelashes, squinting and frowning.....I`m sure it`s just a phase but he does look funny!

This entry is only short today because Jim and I are going over to Danny`s new flat this evening for an hour or so.  I`ve altered his curtains for him and I`ll hang them this evening, not something I want to leave to him!  Anyway, take care and enjoy the rest of the day. Bye Bye for now. :o)

Wonderful pictures of Roman, Sandra. Been pouring down here all day as well.  Lol at Jake because Mike tried to take Jack out this afternoon.  He did not like the rain, sat down and refused to budge!!  Mike had to bring him home, hope that he grows out of it or else he will be missing a lot of walks lol
Hope the curtain hanging goes well.

You've got me in stitches here reading about the "dog" biscuits. I know we need the rain, but could do without it at the moment. Life is grey enough (explanation in today's entry).
Have an idea for Jake's walkies in the wet - stick him in Roman's pushchair and put the hood up. Keep laughing.
Hugs Sylvia xxx
