Hello everyone,
Welcome to a very wet Wednesday. It`s been pouring down most of the day with no sign of it stopping in the near future. It`s also very warm, Jim said it registered 12 degrees celsius on the gauge in the car. I`ve been sitting here in a sleeveless t-shirt because I was just to warm with my jumper on!
This afternoon I went with Kerry to the baby clinic. Roman hadn`t put on very much weight but that is because he put on so much before he was weaned. He`s evened out now and they are very pleased with him. The health visitor has recommended that he is seen by a specialist Excema nurse at our local hospital. Kerry is very pleased that at last someone will try to help Roman without just prescribing new creams and medicines each time he sees a doctor. The health visitor said he is very lucky that he has a type of excema that doesn`t irritate or itch. He is never bothered by it and it probably looks far worse than it is. Tomorrow Kerry has an appointment with the doctor to get some more moisturising cream so I expect he`ll refer him then.
This morning before I took Jake out I couldn`t decide whether to take an umbrella with me. I thought I`d better and as it turned out I did the right thing, we were about halfway through our walk when the heavens opened and even with the brolly I still got pretty wet. Poor Jake was saturated and couldn`t wait to get back indoors. That was the only time I`ve had any heating on all day, just the one hour at lunchtime till we warmed up, the problem being that hot radiators and wet dog don`t mix well and there was a distinct doggy smell for several hours!
Tomorrow if the first of Jim`s two days rest from work, well he won`t be resting as he`ll be hanging another couple of doors. We will be going to the garden centre for lunch though and later we`ll buy another couple of doors to hang. He has another four to hang and seven altogether to bevarnished, plus all the woodwork. I`m sure once we get started with the varnishing it won`t take us too long. I don`t fancy the smell though, I`d better put a peg on my nose....lol!
Last night I hung Dan`s curtains for him and they`ve made all the difference to the room. He has a bay window that looks out over an area with other blocks of flats. At least now nobody can see inside his flat and with the old net curtains I gave him he has all the privacy he needs. I`ll buy some better nets for him tomorrow, the old ones are a bad fit and I want the window to look nice for him. Jim also fixed a new lock to the door of his storeroom. Danny`s really made a good job of cleaning the place, the kitchen is spotless now, as is the bathroom. The main room looks really nice too with the exception of the old carpet that the owner put down. Personally I thrown better carpets away! I`m quite proud of the fact that my boy has very high standards, at least I taught him something when he was growing up.
I must go and read some journals now. I hope you all have a lovely evening, take care and Bye Bye for now. :o)

Same weather here and like you we did not have the heating on for most of the day, it is still off now however they say we are going to get another blast of winter at the weekend if you can believe what they say. Glad you helped Danny out, bet it is far more cosy for him. Good old Jim getting stuck in again with the doors. Bet it will all be worth it but I hate the smell or varnish, gives me a headache. Love all the facts at the end of your entry and the lovely graphic with the smoke xxxxx

Gosh that graphic isn't working properly - it's huge!
I almost gave up waiting for the page to load - I thought journal was broken!
Glad Roman is getting sorted out!
Love your graphic. Poor you and Jake getting wet this morning. Hope your son enjoyes his new room. Sounds as if Jim is going to really busy the next couple of days. I hope they find something to help Roman soon. Have a good night. Helen
Its taken ages for your page to load Sandra. . .I went to make a coffee and it still hadnt loaded. . .I went to fold the clothes out of the drier and happy to see the page had loaded! Its nice Dan is clean and tidy. . .but was he when he lived at home lol.Its good Roman is having his excema checked too.
That is certainly different with the health care in the U.K. that someone comes to the home of the patient. I hope Roman is able to get his rash figured out. I may get a new door and have it hung and paid for by "Energy Assistance". A woman called today and gave me an appointment to bring my paper work in. I could possibly get windows also but if my second addition gets built the existing one's will be removed as the addition will cover those walls and they will be inside. Just one door would be a great improvement for me. I found a flea on Salty and use "Advantage" in a little tube with liquid that I apply to his coat. It is expensive but nothing works like it does. The last time I noticed him scratching he developed tape worms from eating them. So the expense is less than the pills, and he can re get them as long as fleas are present. Enjoyed the facts! mark

Hi Sandra. Thanks for stopping by my journal (a week ago...sorry I'm SO slow in responding). I've been snowed under, but not by snow. LOL Don't know where you are, but send some of that rain to us. We have not had any measurable precipitation since the middle of Oct 2005. We are just about to dry up and blow away. We had a stormy looking sky last night, but I guess it was just for decoration. Love your graphic!! I will have a look around your journal soon. Drop by anytime and visit me and Jake and Frodo. I hope you have some pics of your Jake on your journal. Take care, Barb
Great entry and i love the graphics as usual a talented lady been ay work.Interesting facts as well
Hi Sandra,
I love all your graphics...so pretty. It has rained, rained and rained more here today and tonight. We are suppose to have SNOW this Sunday. What a March! Don't mind the rain, guess mother earth needs it, but I can't see to drive in it. If I could stay in bed all day, then the rain would be welcomed by me. :) We don't have anything blooming here yet and really it has been warm, up in the 70's some days.
Love and Hugs,
Try to stay dry-Jake too.
Sharon
It really does make you wonder sometimes why umbrella's were invented. You can't use them when it's rainy and about 50% of the time you'll still get wet anyway LOL..........hope jim managed to get the doors hung :-)
