" I can`t drink all that Mum! "

 

Hello everyone,

I didn`t think I was going to be able to post an entry today.  My new keyboard has been playing up since yesterday and preventing me from typing.  Last night it stopped completely so I closed down, re-booted and then it was working ok.  Today when I signed on it was alright at first but when I was commenting on a journal it happened again.  I`ll see how it goes and if it happens many more times it`s going back to PC World, it`s a real nuisance.

                                                    

I had a nice lie in this morning, waking up an hour later than normal.  I couldn`t believe how cold and frosty it was when opening the curtains, even the little road outside was white, I didn`t listen to yesterday`s forecast and had no idea what the weather would do.  Jim took Jake out early and told me that he had a wonderful time chasing round with a couple of collies that he has got to know, the younger one especially just loves Jake and they seem to be great pals.  When they got home Jake was worn out and just collapsed in a heap in his bed, that is until his saw Jim get the tin opener out for his food!  Last night Jake was almost in disgrace, I say almost because I caught him in time.  I was watching TV when I heard a funny noise coming from the floor.  I caught Jake chewing the leg of the coffee table!  I couldn`t believe he try it right under my nose and he quickly moved away to the other side of the room, knowing full well that he had done wrong.  Luckily the table was none the worse for his attentions, but had I not been in the room who knows what I would have found?!

                                                        

No news today from the `Crime House`  but I`m hoping the local paper will arrive tomorrow with more details.  I did walk past but there was no sign of life.  I hope you like the photo at the top of the entry.  It was taken by Slava at a restaurant in Windsor when Nadja and Ivan were here.  The expression on Roman`s face says it all!   Today Roman tried to sit up while in his bouncy chair, he has a very strong back and once he realised that he could do it he did it again and again.  Kerry will have to keep and eye on him as the chair isn`t suitable for babies who can sit up but he can`t go in a high chair until he can sit up properly.  Also this morning he nearly rolled of of Slava`s lap, we think it won`t be long before he is on the move one way or another.

                                                      

I`ve had lots of nice Christmas cards arrive including some from my J-Land friends, so thank you Jeannette-Jeanno43, Jeannette-jlocorriere and Ally.  I can`t wait to tear open the Christmas cards when they arrive, I know I`m like a kid but I can`t help it!  Jim is going to get the decorations down from the loft on Saturday morning and we`ll decorate the house together....or have I said that already?  We bought a new Christmas tree at the beginning of January in the sale so it will be nice to decorate a tree that isn`t falling to pieces this year...lol!  This one is a more compact, narrower at the base tree so it will take up less room and hopefully Jake won`t walk into it when he lollops into the room.  Last Christmas was spent dog-less after losing Hannah in the October so it will be his first Christmas with us, I just hope it won`t be too much for him, but I expect he`ll find somewhere to collapse when he get`s tired or fed-up.  I must be off and read some more journals.  Jim will be home earlier than last night, hopefully by 8.30pm so I must get finished by then.  I hope you all have, or have had a lovely day, Bye Bye for now and take care.
