Hello Everyone, on a very sunny, warm Sunday. May 1st is here already ......unbelievable! I just took my time today getting up a bit later than usual after our big meal last night. Kerry and Danny presented me and Jim with two birthday cakes, one sponge and one chocolate, and very tasty they are too, and my diet has just flown out of the window though we won`t eat all of the cake. Jim will take most of it to work where the blokes can eat away to their hearts content lol !
I just pottered about this morning, throwing Jake`s bedding into the washing machine after I noticed a bit of a`doggy` smell in the kitchen this morning. Now it smells lovely, at least until he sleeps on it again. I did the ironing before it all builds up and I end up with piles of it to do.
This afternoon we took Jake swimming in Black Park, where to his joy he found three other labradors to play with. As usual, he collected every stick that was thrown for each dog, in his mouth at once. He is such a show-off bur everyone seems to love him, including Molly a young black lab bitch who took rather a shine to him, flirting outrageously. He played with her of course, but he didn`t seem to bothered by her attentions!
This evening I had to clean up the bathroom after what looked like a scene from the `Texas Chainsaw Massacre`. It was of course, nothing more than Jim cutting himself shaving but the blood was everywhere. You would think after years of practise that that shaving was something that could be done with their eyes closed but obviously not. ( they are bad enough with them open lol) Men...!
That`s it for now apart from wishing everyone a happy Sunday and to take care and would you please like to visit a couple of journals that I particularly liked today.

Good morning Sandra,
(Well, it's morning in Olde Virginny)
I feel honored that you displayed a link to my journal. Thank you.
Sounds like you had a relaxed Sunday and that's something all of us need from time to time.
Aren't labs great dogs? I used to have a black and he was the neighborhoods ambassador.
Tell Jim to try a Mach 111 razor, and his days of "nicks" will be over. Smoothest shave I've ever experienced.
Take care,
Rick
LOL I bought hubby a cordless electric one. I was tired on all the blood too! Beautiful day here yesterday too!
Those cakes sound delicious - mmm! Lol. Never mind the diet - it was a special occasion! Jake is obviously the most eligable bachelor in the area these days - a trail of broken doggie hearts wherever he goes!
David.
