Hello everyone, welcome to the start of a new week here in J-land. Looking out of the window I wonder what will happen in the week ahead, weatherwise. There`s are really cold wind blowing making it feel like winter again. I know I`ve said it time and time again but we have had enough. We want SUMMER and we want it NOW!
This morning Jim cleaned the windows for me, and then washed our cars, though half way through it poured with rain, but at least it washed the soap off. We have been at a loose end all day, what with Jake being at the vet`s for his operation, we haven`t been for a walk today. We haven`t anything to do in the garden and we are at a loose end. There`s nobody at home today to visit, so Jim is watching a DVD and I , obviously , am here with nothing much to say...........................
Until now, an hour later. The phone rang and Jake was ready to come home, so off we went to collect him, he is fine, apart from two of his essential parts that have been left at the vets! He has had the run of the surgery, where the nurses and reception staff have been fussing him. The locum vet said he is the nicest labrador she has ever come across. One receptionist though, did insist he is a labrador/staffie cross (which he isn`t ) but I just smiled and said he wasn`t, not accordingly to his pedigree. He is a `working type lab` and not a`show type` as is most usual for pet labs.....grrrr!
Anyway he is safely home and fast asleep in the kitchen. So I can relax now. Kerry is on her way over so I must go now. have a great Monday and take care. :-)

Nope, not ready for summer.
AS far as the vet asst., some people just know everything
it's amazing how cold it still is - for May! I always love it when I have nothing to do - it's my favourite passtime! Glad Jake seems none the worse for his ordeal.

Sandra, so glad to know Jake is home safe and sound even if he is sore. I hope it doesnt get cold for you there! Take care, friend! Love, lisa
