Hello everyone, and welcome to Friday`s edition of Sandras Scribbles. I`m feeling really upbeat today, everything seems to make me smile. I think it must be that my cold is on the wane and I`m feeling lots better. I`m still coughing a lot but my head and nose are feeling much better. I think it must be down to the good wishes of all of you lovely people who have wished me well. In fact, it`s probably just a coincidence, but my health in general, has been very good since I started my journal.
Kerry has reached Russia safely. She sent me a text message on arrival saying she had a good flight and would call me tomorrow. I am happy now I know she is safe. Jim spoke to the captain and arranged for her and Slava to be upgraded to business class, so at least she had a comfortable seat and better food. I hope she takes some photos of her visit, but if not I will tell you all about her visit anyway.
Today was Jake`s first day with his `lampshade` and he was allowed off the lead for the first time. he was so excited that he ran around the field so fast that he nearly ran into me. He really does reach quite a speed and when I saw him powering towards me I knew all I could do was to drop to the ground. If I hadn`t I dread to think what he might have broken when he hit me. As it was the worst I got were wet patches on my jeans and Jim laughing his head off at the sight of me kneeling on the wet grass! We didn`t come across another dog today so we atill don`t know if Jake will be beaten up in the park anymore or not. I think tomorrow will tell as we are going to Upton Park where lots of dogs go for their morning constitutions.
The weather hasn`t been too good today. It was raining all night and this morning and today is weekend wash day. But I`ve got the lot dry now as the first half went in the tumbledryer. Later the sun came out and it was still very windy, so out went the wash ,and so far it has stayed that way, drying everything for me! I haven`t looked at the weekend forecast but I`ll bet it`s not going to be any better than it is now. A friend of mine from Lincolnshire told me that they are having a mini heatwave and they have fans on all round the house !
Well , that`s all for today. I have lots more journals to read still, Have a lovely weekend all of you. Take care, bye for now :-)

I'm glad your feelin' a bit better. There must be something in the air (either that or the lemsips working) coz I could breath more easily today :-) Sounds like Jake has fun and I'm glad Kerry's ok!! Have a good weekend
Sandra,
Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling good; bet the weather is the culprit. What you need is a big olde dose of warm sunshine. Sounds if Jake is doing okay!
Chrissy and I are off for a weekend on the water. Not the best weekend forecast here either (cloudy w/ high 60s, low 70s) but I take whatever Mother Nature offers and make the best of it.
Have a great weekend. Hi to Jim
Rick
