Today a lot has happened. I will list them all and then try to explain.
1) Actually had success with new software and backing up all files.
2) Booked Jake into kennels for holiday in Canada.
3) Received 25, yes 25 lovely new siggie tags from a lady who made them all for me. Not bad seeing as how I only requested the one.
4) Took Jake for short walk on the lead locally. Not easy with one good arm. Then he was scared witless by a JCB that nearly buried him alive.
5) Bailiffs knock on the door........................
5) I fall UP the stairs whilst carrying cup of coffee and a plate.
I suppose it would have been `one of those days` anyway, whatever I did, but at least I can`t complain that it hasn`t been interesting.
THE SOFTWARE, right well , I`m not always the brightest star when it comes to being `technical.` But today I used a copying program that I`ve been meaning to try for a year. Now to all you experts out there ( ie. Stuart and John to name but two and nearly everyone else I should think, apart from me !) would be able to do this years ago, most likely with their eyes shut. I have backed up my folders at last. The computer crashed last year and I vowed after losing so much stuff that I would always save everything in future. But did I ?...of course not. But last night I dreamt that it crashed and again I lost the lot, this time I have some very important files that I can`t replace, so this morning I got stuck in and it only took me a little while. I am so pleased with myself !
THE KENNELS Now this is not easy for me at all. I`ve been putting it off because I don`t know if Jake`s ever been in kennels apart from when he was rescued. It won`tbe antil August but I`m really worried he`ll pine and waste away while we are enjoying ourselves in Canada! I`ve put our dogs there in the past and the staff are excellent and treat them very well so I know I`m being a bit silly. I had my mind put at rest though, when the lady I spoke to on the phone said I`m very welcome to come and look around for myself. I might at that when I`m driving again.
THE 25 TAGS Well that was a surprise I have to say. I was sent this lovely graphics site run by a lady called Toni. I ordered one tag of my choice yesterday and today whilst reading my email found that apart from the one I ordered she had made all of them for me. I was stunned. I know I only ordered the one because that`s one of the rules. Just one tag a week per computer. I can only say thank you so much TONITAGS and I hope other people use this link and visit your lovely site. I will be using a different tag every day for 25 days until I have uploaded the lot into my FTP space.
JAKE AND THE JCB Poor Jake if it isn`t bad enough being walked by me with my one good arm. Then I have to walk him the length of our road at the same time the children finish school. That in itself isn`t a problem, it`s the parents. They drive full speed down our quiet little road and drive straight at us who just happen to live here.....grrrrr. I then manage to get around the corner where to my dismay a JCB has mounted the pavement and proceeds to tip it`s load of tarmac right where Jake is sniffing the fence. He must have jumped a foot in the air and then in his panic almost pulled of my feet. I managed to control him and headed straight home as he was very shaken. Once home, and a couple of dog biscuits later, it was all forgotton.
THE BAILIFF A bailiff at the door ! Not something that has happened to me before. Thankfully he wasn`t after me but the horrible man next door. The one whose house is really run down and dirty. In fact, he and hisentire family are awful and we don`t have anything to do with them. I don`t know if it`s because he has`nt paid his car tax non-payment fines.. again..., has outstanding parking fines.......very likely, or maybe something much worse. I just wish I could have been more helpful to the nice polite bailiff !
FALLING UP THE STAIRS I`ve done this s many times I`ve lost count, but it`s not a very clever thing to do when you have a bad arm, especially when you fall on it ! OUCH! It did hurt too. I had tears in my eyes from the pain. Thankfully I don`t think I did any damage but I must learn to be more careful. I was more concerned about spilling my coffee on the stair carpet, but consoled myself with the thought of a new carpet later in the year after the hall is decorated !

I can sympathise with alot of this Sandra!!
I'm not in any way technically minded for starters, and am really impressed that you figured out that new software!
I had a bailiff knock at my door a year or so ago, looking for the people that lived here before we did. I had to show them ID for them to go away because they didn't believe that I wasn't her!
And falling UP the stairs is my speciality! I'm sorry you hurt your arm, ouch :o(
Am off right now to check out Toni Tags, thanks for the link!

I like your tag and look forward to seeing the rest. Take care.

Sounds like you had a busy day :-)
Well done with the new software - that's the sort of thing that usually has me reaching for a lump-hammer to make it work properly! You're certainly brave taking Jake for a walk on the lead - with only one arm. But I can't help wondering if you shouldn't be a bit more patient with that poor arm of yours. Don't want the scar to open up again. Glad the bailiffs weren't there to visit you - sounds as though your dodgy neighbour's done a runner!
David.
Sounds like you had an interesting Monday:) I hope your arm is feeling better. The tag is adorable. God Bless
your siggie is adorable!! How's the Arm?? I've fallen down a whole flight of stairs twice in my life, but never up...lol!! hope you are feeling better!!
