SPRINGTIME AND PC`S

Good morning on this lovely spring-like day.  There is really signs that winter is leaving us, and good riddance I say too!  The camelia has big creamy yellow flowers on it (apart from the one that I saw Jake eat this morning!) I think they are gorgeous flowers and I wish they could last all year.  Soon the magnolia will flower and hopefully that will survive the April showers that usually blow the pretty petals away.  I hope to get a photo of the camelias soon because I planted two bushes with different colour flowers close together to get the effect of a bi-coloured shrub. But at the moment the red flowers are a bit late flowering so I just hope the cream flowers don`t die off before the red opens up.  I also want to thank all my friends that have wished me well since my elbow surgery.  It`s so nice knowing how kind you all are and that I`m very grateful for all your support.

Today I will be spending some time learning how to make graphics.  I have been sent the proper software to use and it would help if I knew what to do, so I am asking someone with experience for a tutorial.  I am determined to learn as I find it all very interesting.  Watch this space and I`ll keep you informed of what will probably be a very slow progress. Only three years ago I didn`t know the first thing about computers and the very thought of using one filled me with dread. But I felt it was something I should know about so I enrolled in a college course for the `computer terrified`!   I was very relieved to find that I was the youngest in the class and I had great fun learning and have never looked back.  I`m not as quick as some to learn, but I like to think I get there in the end.  The internet has opened a completely new world to me and made it possible to meet lovely people and make new friends from all over.  Now anything is possible in this wonderful online world.

I have only had a computor a year now and taught myself how to use it. Hadn't got a clue when I first switched it on - was terrified. Like you though, I have found another world, new friends, so many things I didn't know were possible. It's great for being creative too, along with my psc and a digital camera. Trouble is I need a better computor now - bigger memory and faster drive. If ever broadband reaches as far our village I will be the happiest woman alive!

From the graphics you've been sending me, it looks like you already know what you're doing!!  Well done you!
I might get some software and have a try, but I'll let you master it first so I know where to come for help ;o)

The Camelias sound lovely. Well, the sun has disappeared from here sadly and it is getting a bit windy but it was nice to get outside in the garden this morning.  Hope your arm continues to improve.  I shall leave the graphics to you my friend as I am cutting down on the computer time.  I just cannot take anything else on at the moment and I know I would get hooked on graphics because I already am.  If I learned how to make them I would be on here around the clock.  Maybe that will be something for the future. Have a great week.

I love your graphics Sandra, especially the Snoopy one. Good luck with your graphic making, I too would love to learn how to do them, but like Jeannette, I already spend too much time on the computer!  Will be interested in knowing how you get on tho'.
Here in sunny (but very windy) Cambridgshire the daffs are out - the snowdops fading to rust, and the crocus are poking their heads up. Going into Hospital today (at least I'm turning up - but they say they still can't be sure I'm getting a bed!) so don't know when I'll be back on my computer.  As it's my sister's Birthday at then end of the month, I thought I'd tell you all about her struggle to reach the magnificent age of 69 ( magnificent for her, anyway) so that's my last entry til I get back.
ta ta for now

Hi Sandra,
So glad that spring is finally visiting you. :)
I have some tutorials that I will email you. Some of them helped me...but I don't spend a lot of time working with PSP.

LOVE YOU FRIEND,
