ALL WORN OUT!

This graphic say it all. I left the house this morning at 10am and finally got home at 3.30pm.  My feet are so sore I feel as though I have run a marathon!   Shopping went well but it was just so tiring.  I managed to buy myself the new hair straighteners I promised myself.  We have a branch of Allders here and it has gone into liquidation and has the most amazing bargains.  I got myself a lovely Italian leather purse for a quarter of the price.  I could never have paid the original price for it as it was expensive to start with.   Kerry and I then went on to the beauticians and I had my eyebrows done and then sat down in Marks and Spencers and had coffee and cakes....oooh they were lovely too!  The town shopping went well and without incident but then when we were done it was time to go................food shopping  :-(

That of course was another matter.  People rattling trolleys as if they were dangerous weapons, which of course they can be in the wrong hands!  for some reasons the shelves were not as well stacked as usual and a lot of the things I needed to buy weren`t there so we`ll have to go back another day , just what I don`t want to do.  I forgot to get Jim`s tomatos and he won`t be happy. Oh well, it can`t be helped and I`m not going back again now and get attacked by the mad trolley people.  This poor chap walked backwards into our trolley, ( he was talking to his wife at the time) and almost fell over the top of it.  He was okay but it could have been more serious if he`d fallen.  On the way home we encountered road works and had to join the long queue of traffic tailing back down the road.  Whilst we waited patiently we saw this white van overtake the traffic on our side of the road and drive on the other side, when the van came head to head with a car coming the other way he decided the best thing to do was mount the pavement and drive the length of the road.  In doing so he almost knocked a pedestrian over. We, and other drivers were stunned by the van driver`s reckless driving.  Where are the police when you need them ?

This afternoon I received a phone call from the hospital telling me that my appointment for the consultant tomorrow has been cancelled as there are not enough doctors and nurses to run the clinic and I was told I`d get another in a couple of weeks.   I told them this wasn`t acceptable as I `m not happy with the way my arm is healing, but I was told that they couldn`t help at the moment but they would ask someone else on the staff what I could do.  Later I got another call to say that under the circumstances they would let me keep the appointment as I have problems with healing.  The second call was from the consultant`s secretary and she explained that they were merely cutting back on the amount of patients that were to be seen tomorrow.  She was very sympathetic and was sorry for any misunderstanding .

Enjoy whats left of Thursday.  Bye for now.

Good for you Sandra, if your arm isn't healing well you don't want to be waiting another two weeks for your appointment do you!
Sounds like you've had a busy day.  Time to relax and put your feet up this evening, you deserve it after tackling those mad trolley people!!

Grrrr.....doctors!!  I thought I'd heard it all when reading Jeannettes tale and now you seem to be on their receiving end too.  Oh my god at that van driver - how do they get away with it?

Sympathise with you Sandra over hospital. Have had a bucketful of their nonsense myself. Makes you feel like drowning yourself in the loo at times lol.
