Hello everyone,
The weather has been lovely again today, warm and sunny but not too hot. I just hope it lasts after the dreadful summer we`ve had up till two weeks ago. Things at work have settled down a little as it has been agreed that I job share with my colleague instead of changing jobs completely. I`m not one to complain usually but I had to say how I felt this time and hopefully it will work out for the best. I expect I`ll be outside tomorrow weeding for the time I`m there, a job I don`t mind doing at all, especially in the sunshine.
This afternoon it was back to the dentist as my mouth is still painful. It turns out that the bone and gum are still infected and I was given another course of strong antibiotics. Also I was told that my jaw is very arthritic, something I didn`t know beforehand. Apparently the jaw is used more than any other joint in the body and is a common site of arthritis...now you know! Anyway, I hope the pills do the trick because it`s very annoying having to keep going back to the dentist and besides, it`s costing me a fortune.
Kerry and Slava`s house purchase is now in the hands of a solicitor and they have been told it will take between 6 to 14 weeks to complete. Most likely it`ll be nearer the 6 as there is nothing that should slow up the proceedure. Talking of houses Jim and I are having our roof lining paper replaced and the builders will be in on Wednesday to put up the scaffolding. We were told by the surveyor when we bought the house it needed doing but we`ve been putting it off because of the cost. It to be done because when we put our house up for sale we could lose a lot of money if we don`t have the work done. I know we won`t be moving for a few years yet but they were recommended by a friend so we decided to go ahead now.
I still have a bit of a cold, not that it was much of one in the first place. Kerry, Roman and Jim all had really heavy colds so when my throat started to feel scratchy and my glands swelled up, I thought I was in for the same thing. But I haven`t had anything near as bad with just slightly watery eyes and a bit of a sniffle and I don`t think it`s going to get worse either. One thing I have gained in working at the garden centre in the countryside is that my immune system is much better than when I worked at Royal Mail in the middle of town. Since I started the job last October I`ve had no time off sick at all. I have had colds and viruses but nothing that would prevent me from working as yet. I always take 50+ multi-vitamins and zinc tablets for cold prevention so maybe that`s whats doing it. Whatever is responsible long may it last and hopefully I`ll go through another winter in good health (fingers crossed...lol!)
I`m really behind with journal reading and I hope to get through some alerts tonight. Please forgive me if you aren`t getting comments from me at the moment, I am reading but just don`t have time to comment on all of them at the moment so please accept my apologies. I hope you all have a lovely evening, Bye for now. :o)

I've never heard about arthritis in the jaw but it makes sense! Enjoy your day.

Sandra, so happy to hear that the situation at work has straightened out. When you need repairs on the house, it's better to get them done rather than waiting...for one thing the cost of repairs never goes down..they only go up as time marches on. I have been blessed with perfect health since I retired the first of February. My goal was to not go to the doctor at all this year, but had to take my left knee in to be seen, after twisting it last week. But at least it wasn't a visit for sickness. When I was working I was always sick...I think a lot of it had to do with stress and not getting enough rest. Take care and hope that jaw feels better soon. Linda in Washington state
Happy to read you have your job sorted Sandra it's best to say how you feel with your workers etc.It often clears the air and evryone knows where they stand then.I hope the weather keeps fine whilst you are working outside.I hope the antibiotics finish the job off this time, what a pain that extraction has been hasn't it? Time will soon roll by and Kerry and Slava will soon be living in there new house.Hope the workmen doing the roof arn't too much trouble to you.I felt fenced in when I had the scaffolding up for a new roof on my semi before I moved LOL!! Oh well have a nice eveing and a good Friday Take Care God Bless Kath

Hi Sandra! It's no good, I just have to ask an ignorat question: what's roof lining paper? I've never hear of it. Is it to do with flat roofs? Sorry you're having such trouble with your jaw. Pain there is horrid -well, it is anywhere but at least if it's, say, your arm you can just not use it for the duration. Take care.
Love, Angie, xx

((((((((((((9HUGSTOYOu)))))))))))))Going to the dentist is no fun,I hope you get it all taken care of and I hope your cold feels better.Have a nice weekend.
That's the first for me hearing about having arthritis in the jaw. Makes perfect sense though. I hope this second bout of antibiotics does the trick. You have been in pain a long time for this. Congrats on Kerry and Slava being able to get the house they wanted. Looking forward to pictures. As for work, glad you didn't let them bully you around. Although it does sound ideal working outside during the summer. (Hugs) Indigo

Glad the weather has brightened up ~ and glad things have settled down at work ~ I do hope your mouth will be better after your second lot of antibiotics ~ will be lovely if they sort Kerry's and Slava's house in 6 weeks rather than 14 ~ will give them plenty of time to move in before the Winter (that's a laugh isn't it ~ I mean Winter don't seem to have left us) Glad your cold don't seem to turning any worse ~ Ally x
