Another Week Goes By!

At Runnymede on Thursday afternoon.

Hello Everyone,

I thought I`d make an entry before another day passes by. Again it`s been almost a week since the last one. You may notice that I deleted the last one where I told you about Danny and Sal`s break up. The reason being is that he has srted using the computer quite a bit and even though the link to my journal isn`t on view, he might find it and somehow I know he wouldn`t like what I`d written. Still, I stand by what I wrote and even more so since we had a huge argument on Wednesday that has resulted in us not speaking unless it`s necessary to do so. He is talking to me a bit more but I just don`t have anything to say at the moment. The atmosphere has been horrible but I`m not in a mood to forgive and forget after the row. The row started over something that happened between Dan and Sal that evening and I got the full impact of it. So much for staying in the background and letting him deal with his own problems...sigh.

I`m really looking forward to our trip to Russia this coming Saturday as I know a break will be good for me and Jim, we need to get away from the house all the bad feeling that is hanging around us at the moment. We`ve got our suitcases down from the loft and I`ve washed and ironed everything that we`ll be taking with us. I want to leave the  washing basket empty because as you all know, there`s always so much to do when you get back from a holiday. I`ve cleaned the oven over the weekend and it`s as sparkling as when it was brand new, the problem is I don`t want to cook in it again in case it gets greasy again...lol!  I did cook a roast dinner today though and I cleaned the oven straight afterwards,. I just hope I keep it up but somehow I doubt it knowing me!

The week in general has been uneventful. I`ve not been feeling too well the last couple of day, some sort of viral thing I expect. You know, sore stomach, headaches and a dodgy throat, I definitely need that holiday!  On Thursday after work,Kerry and I took Roman to Runnymede so he could run around to his hearts content by the riverside. We had a lovely afternoon though both Kerry and I were tired out, me from having an earlier start than usual and Kerry from being up in the night with a restless Roman. I hope you like the photo of Roman who looks deep in thought, we were playing football at the time but he lost sight of the ball and was looking around for it.

Anyway, I`ll continue this tomorrow night, I`m of to watch the final of Britains Got Talent.  Bye for now. :o)

Sandra - am I going to be the first to comment?  Miracles do happen then!  It does sound as though a holiday is just the thing for you right now.  Personally I don't fancy Russia but I know people who've been and say it's beautiful.  You have a great time.
Love, Angie, xx

I hope you feel better before yougo away Sandra. It's hard getting caught up in our kids break ups, I've been there too. I do hope the break away from home will do you and Jim good. Roman's a little treasure, he looks so grown up now! Have a good week! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

That little guy is really sprouting up.  Sandra, do you have a slow-cooker?  That's how I cook my roasts.  In the slow cooker (crock-pot) with some onion soup and about 2-3 cups water.  Put it in in the orning, let it cook for about 6 hours and it's so tender.  Yummy.  I'm really looking forward to your pictures when you get back from Russia.  What a wonderful opportunity.   Linda in Washington state

Have a great holiday.  It must be exciting travelling all the way to Russia and it must be even more exciting spending so much time with your family, especially Roman, who seems to be growing up with every picture you post. He is adorable.  Eileenx  PS Can't wait to see all your pix!

My I cannot believe how Roman has grown!  He is such a sweetie.  Sorry about the situation with Danny - you certainly need that break away and will have lots to write about when you get back.  Do you read Guido?  Jim Halliday passed away and Guido let us know.  I have been to Jim's journal and left condolences for the family.  Just thought you might like to know as you knew him as well.
