Hello Everyone,
Just a flying visit to say a quick hello. It`s been a hectic week one way or another and I just haven`t had the time or the energy to post a proper entry. Work has been non stop now that the growing season is underway and I don`t seem to get time to breathe between customers. I`m not complaining though as the time flies by and I really enjoy being busy, it beats sitting around with little to do.
On Saturday we attended the service for the scattering of Jim`s Mum`s ashes. The vicar who led the funeral service said the prayers, while Jim was given the honour of scattering the ashes under the same weeping willow tree as his late Father. Jim said afterwards that he was proud to have done this last act for his Mum. Later the family all gathered together for a meal and a chat before we all went home again. On Sunday Jim and I went for a meal with friends but halfway through I was taken ill with a very bad stomach upset. I don`t know what caused it as I felt much better the next day but I felt really dreadful at the time. I`m still being really careful what I eat just in case it happens again.
It`s been very cold today, too cold for time of year in my opinion though like I said it hasn`t kept the customers away from the garden centre, me being one of them. I bought several bags of compost, some farm manure, a grow bag, a stepping stone in the shape of a farthing, complete with a wren and some feet for my earthenware pots. Last week I bought loads of plants and the garden is really taking shape now though there`s still a way to go yet. I`ll take some photos of some of the plants when they flower but not until then. All I need now is some sunshine to bring them on.
Anyway my friends, I must go and finish reading your journals. I hope you`ve all had a lovely day, take care and I`ll be back again soon. :o)

Sorry you got sick. Hope you stay well now. I think it would be fun to work in a garden center. Can't wait to see the flowers and all the pretty things in your garden.
Pam
sounds like your garden will be very beautiful. I can hardly wait to see it in full bloom. take care and don't do it all at once. I know how that is though, :)
Sandra
I hope you have had no more problems with your Tummy ,I wiped away a tear ,when you spoke of Jim scattering his Mums ashes ,along side his Dads under the tree,Resting together bless them ,Oh your garden will be open to the public at this rate ,well certainly JLand,,dying to see your pictures ,and yes today has been so cold especially after yesterday ,my curtains look nice ,even if we did get an April shower on my clean windows ...love Jan xx
I am glad that you are feeling better. Glad the scattering of Jim's Mum's ashes went well. The weather is going to get cold here over the weekend. Down about freezing. That will destroy all the pretty spring flowers and fruit that is already making. The weather is so strange nowdays. I hope it doesn't bother the plants you are planting now. Helen
I'm sorry your so busy, umm maybe not you seem to be enjoying it. I
am so dying to get out and do my garden, but as it goes they are predicting snow Thurs. I hope your stomache isn't something serious. (Hugs) Indigo

Sandra I am glad that Jim was Proud to have done the last act of love for his Mum and to say goodbye to her ~ Glad you are having a busy time at work far better than sitting around when the time just seems to drag ~ Your garden is going to look a picture when you have finished all your planting look forward to seeing some photographs ~
Well, it sounds like you're enjoying the start of growing season. It sounds like you had a lovely ritual for Jim's mother. I was taken with sudden bad stomach pains & it turned out to be gall stones. Hope it is nothing like that for you. Take care and don't work too hard.
Hugs, Barb
I hope by now you are feeling better. It was a busy couple of days for you and Jim. The lawn and garden centers here, are the only ones doing business. It's that time of the year...letting the planting begin! LOL
Hope your midweek goes well...and the rest of it too...hugs and love,
Joyce
I am very pleased for Jim and I am glad to know that you are well again.
By for now,
John.
I'm glad the scattering of Jim's mum's ashes went well. It's certainly got cold here too, last night I froze on the way home! I'm glad you're getting your garden done, it's a busy time of year for you at work but as you say, the time goes quickly when you're busy! Have a lovely Easter! That was sweet of Jim to say that about his last duty for his mum. Hope your tummy is ok now, maybe it was caused by the stress of it all. Hugs, Terry x
