Hello Everyone,
I said I`d try to do an entry today and here I am. After yesterday`s heavy duty gardening my back is really painful, well it`s more like my right hip and lower back. Oh well, it`s my fault for not being more careful and what`s more I couldn`t do anymore gardening today and I`m not happy about that! Jim has almost finished the new fencing with just a small section that he has to build from scratch. The panels are all in place and the untidy gardens to the left and back of us are now out of view. Unfortunately not before another rat found it`s way into the garden. I was do the dished this morning when I saw the rat bound across the garden and run under the shed..sigh. Now we`ll have to bait the trap again as I have no intention of sharing my nice tidy garden with a disease carrying rodent...ughhh!
Last Thursday I went to Windsor with Kerry and while there I went into Next Homeware dept. I bought a really nice modern style ornament of two lovers that I thought would look nice on the shelf in the hallway ( I broke the last one at Christmas). Later on when we went to the Station Concourse for coffee I put the bag down and heard a crash...it was my figurine which was now a lover and his headless lady friend...lol! Kerry managed to stifle a giggle when she saw what I`d done, looking back it was funny. She suggested I bought some superglue, which I did and you can`t even see the join, thank goodness.
Slava came round with Roman this afternoon, he had just come from Black Park where Roman had been on the swings. His little cheeks were red from the cold but he came running to me and gave me a big kiss, wanted me to take his coat off and get his toys. My Little Man certainly knows what he wants...lol! It seems nearly everything he does makes me smile, his personality is so big for one so small. After an hour or so they went home leaving us to have out dinner, sirloin steak with mushroom, roast potatoes, parnips and carrots and sweetheart cabbage. It was very tasty if I may say so myself.
I was just thinking it`s work again tomorrow, the job seems to have lost it`s initial appeal though I still like it as far as work is concerned, it`s just not the big adventure that it once was. It suits me hours wise and I get my discount for the things I need for my garden so it`ll do for now. Anyway, must go and read some more journals, I`m almost up to date now. Take care my friends and have a great week. Cheerio. :o)

Sorry you broke the figurine. But, I'm glad you fixed it and the break is unnoticeable. Good job!

It must be nice to have the neighbors yucky yards so longer visible. But, I've got to agree with you..Mr Rat would have to go (and fast). I guess when the job is not fun anymore, you can move on. The ice has been broken, it won't be so itimidating if you decide to get a different job. Linda in Washington
((((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))))))))))Have a nice week
Hello Sandra,
I can't say that I have done any gardening I am more of a black thumb than anything. Its nice hearing about Jim I really wanted to say that I'm sorry recently for the loss he had recently. Tell Jim hello for me. Its is nice to hear about Roman. My youngest niece Megan recently turned 7 and she has quite a personality let me tell you. I have been on my job for 3 years now and there is certain days that seem hard but the people at my work are great. Cheerio my dear friend. Take care.
Yes, the Rat would have to go, I can't stand the thought of them, but my husband tells me they're everywhere. I try not to think of them. Would love to work outside, maybe tomorrow, the weather has to be just right for me, ha, ha. Joni
I would freak out if I saw a rat.they have what they call tree rats here..gross!
have a good week...

Hi, the trouble with rats is you get terrified to leave your door open incase they go into the house thats a bad thought don't you think. We hade one in our cottage garden on holiday a few years back and I was terrified. Love Joan.
Eww, rats! Reminded me of the one we had here a couple of years ago, blech!! Love hearing about your little man Sandra, he sounds such a sweetheart, running to you for kisses, awww :o)
Hope your back and hip are feeling a little easier today.

I expect the rat has come back because of the cold, he probably wants to eat. Can't see you doing steak and mushrooms for him though! I'm glad you managed to repair your ornament, I don't have to breakthings, Nina does it for me! Jobs do lose their appeal after a while, I don't expect the cold weather is helping, it should get better soon with the spring flowers coming in soon! Roman sounds such a charmer, I know he brings a lot of joy to you all, bless him! Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
Sandra I hope you get rid of Ratty you don't want him in your garden ~ Glad Jim is getting the fencing repaired so you can't see those untidy gardens ~ The ornament you bought sound lovely glad you could repair it that superglue is wonderful stuff ~ Roman is growing into a lovely young man I know how proud you are of him ~ Jobwise perhaps something else will come along at least it seems to be easier to get another job when you already have one ~ Ally
I'm sorry hon LOL, I can't stop stifling a giggle myself. Only because that would be me a hundred times over. (Hugs) I'm glad to hear things are slowly returning to normal....I know everyone is still hurting. But as it goes the living go on living. I'm still keeping your family in my prayers on the smoke. Love Ya Indigo
Hi Sandra ,hope you soon get rid of the dreaded rat ,I hate mice so I would hate seeing one in the garden .Glad Jim got the fench fixed ,hope hes feeling alright after his Mums funeral last week .
Your little Roman is such a tresure and I know how much fun you can have with Grandchildren........Love Jeanxx
Hi Sandra! Oh a rat . . . . eeeeoooowwww! That would make my toes curl! You mustn't be too concerned about finding work a little boring now. Think about how boring garden centres are this time of year. In another month or so, all the spring items will be coming in and it will be fun again, I'm sure. I think it is perfectly natural for you to be a little bored right now. I'm so sorry to hear that your back and hip are bothering you. I noticed that I don't bounce back after overdoing it now. It takes days. Sigh. Oh well, that's life!
