Thank You All

Hello Everyone,

I want you all to know that Jim sends his thanks to each and everyone of you for your kindness and prayers on the passing of his beloved Mum. He is deeply touched that my journals readers care so much and he is very, very grateful to you all.

Jim is coping really well though it`s early days yet. Yesterday he felt really bad but today he is much brighter and I know it will be that way for some time to come. Danny has been a tower of strength both in a an emotional way and physically. Today the two of them spent all day putting up fence panels to replace the ones that were destroyed by the gales of the other week. I`m really proud of my son for all he`s done despite having to cope with his own grief. This evening I noticed a tile missing from the roof which wouldn`t have been a problem as we have a couple of spares. It`s in a difficult position though so we`ll have to call someone in to do it...sigh.

Jim found this poignant cartoon a couple of years ago. It`s very appropriate now don`t you think?

Anyway, you`ll understand that I don`t have much else to say at the moment. I`ll try to pop in from time to time during the week. Please give us a thought on Wednesday afternnoon at 1.30pm when we`ll be attending the funeral.  Thank you and Bless you all.

I'm glad Jim is coping well and Danny too. I'll think of you all on Wednesday. Repairing the storm damage probably helped to take their minds off their sadness. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Sometimes the funeral is the hardest because then it sinks in that our loved one is really gone.  After that...it slowly gets easier.  However, my folks have been gone since 1987 & 1990 and I pass by the cemetary at least twice a week...I always look in, to the direction of where they are resting.  And it makes me sad, because I miss them.  Please give Jim extra hugs...and take care.   Linda in Washington

Sandra, I will certainly keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers, especially on Wednesday afternoon.  No matter how we think we prepare for these things, the permanence of death, really upsets us, doesn't it?  I'm one of those freaky people, though, that thinks people just go to another dimension, that the soul survives.  Be gentle with yourselves this week.

Hugs,
Susie

All of you have been so much in my thoughts Sandra.  I am glad you are all bearing up and that Danny has been so good.  The cartoon is very poignant and so apt, you could not have chosen better.  Hope your orchids are doing well, mine just wilted on me.  I sprayed it every day with rain water, kept it just moist and in a bright place with even temperature but one by one the leaves fell off and alas it is no more.  Too expensive to buy another so it was nice while it lasted.  Have you have a nice weekend
