WILL WE, OR WON`T WE?

A more reliable mode of transport...?

Hello everyone.....

By now most of you know of the British Airways strike at Heathrow Airport.  A question for you all.... Guess who`s flying to Canada with them on Sunday with British Airways?  And, guess what Airport they are flying from too?!  Of course you know the answer to that.  Because Jim`s company works for BA he didn`t have anything to do yesterday and he was sent home early.  This morning I went into the travel agents to see if there are any contingency plans for any BA passengers, there are but if we were to change flight companies we would lose the full amount of money that we have paid for this flight!  So we just wait and see what will happen now.  Jim has phoned to say that flights will depart again this evening but there is a huge backlog of passengers.  I don`t mind being delayed by a day if necessary but any longer will mean the holiday will have to be cancelled.  We fly to Toronto for 2 days but after that we leave for Montreal and we`ll never catch up with the tour then. So now we sit, wait and hope that all goes smoothly and we get the flight on Sunday.  Please think of us both on Sunday, the power of positive thought may help us and those other thousands of stranded passengers.

Jim did quite well on his fishing trip on Wednesday.  He was pleased with this 7lbs carp and he caught several bream and tench as well. His two friends did better than him, one of them catching and landing so many fish he lost count and went home early feeling that he couldn`t have had a better day!

Kerry took this photo of Little Man the other day.  I thought it was so cute I had to share it as he looks so bright and cheerful.  Unfortunately, this wasn`t the case today, he has been crying quite a bit though he isn`t hungry or wet.  He just seems to be flexing his muscles and Kerry is getting wise to him and lets him cry when he does that.  He has had a bit of conjunctivitus since he was born but though Kerry has followed advice it just hasn`t cleared, so today he was given some antibiotic cream to get rid of it.  He is not very good at night though and kept mum and dad up all last night again.  Last evening Kerry and Slava had a few hours out on their own and I looked after Roman.  He was very good and slept until his feed was due, but when they got home he started to cry again and, I`m told, didn`t settle until 4am.  Poor Kerry is getting very tired now.

Jim took this last night 10 mins before Kerry and Slava got home!

Tonight I have to sort out some bits and pieces of ironing, and the last couple of items to wash.  Then tomorrow we have to put Jake into kennels, I`m noy looking forward to that at all.  I keep thinking that he`ll feel miserable abandoned and that I`m being cruel.  Logically I know I`m doing the right thing, emotionally I`m in a turmoil over it and I just hope he will forgive us both!

 I watched the first two episodes of the new TV series `Lost`, at least new in the UK.  I taped it and finished the last bit of tape this evening.  I can`t wait for the next episodes, which again I`ll have to tape.  It is going to be good TV watching the characters little secrets come into the open, as I`m sure they all HAVE secrets as it always makes for better TV!

I have to go and read some journals now.  I have so many alerts but I don`t think I`ll get them all read this evening.  I`ll just have to do my best.  Till tomorrow, Good night and take care.
