ROAD RAGE AND ITCHY!

Hello everyone.......

Welcome to Wednesday and just 4 more sleeps to go before our holiday, and after today I think I need it too.  Well there was no problem all day really, it was in the night it started.  I woke up at 3am and my eye was really itchy, I mean REALLY itchy!  I got up and bathed it but it didn`t make any difference.  Eventually I fell asleep but the alarm went off after what seemed like 10 mins later.  This morning I decided to call the doctor`s surgery as it is so close to the holiday.  I couldn`t believe my luck when they gave me an appointment for today at 4.50pm...I nearly fainted with the shock...lol!

I had a hair appointment at 11 to get my roots done.  I went and got that done, came home, ate lunch and went to see Kerry who`d had a fraught day with Little Man.  She looked so tired and she told me he had been playing up all morning.  They`d taken him to get his passport photo done and he hadn`t settled since they got home.  So nanna picks up her little grandson, gives him his feed and he promptly goes right back to sleep.  I suppose that`s what nanna`s are there for...lol!.  Kerry is definitely doing the right thing with him, he`s getting into a routine already and he`s thriving but Kerry is finding the lack of sleep catching up with her.  Slava has a week off next week so they will be able to have nice days out, just the 3 of them.  I`m glad, because I wouldn`t want her to be on her own all the time just yet.

What is it with drivers these days?  Why are so many of them so aggressive?  Are they like that in there every day life?  There are the questions that go through my mind each time some idiot tries to cut me up!  I personally think that a general common sense test should be carried out on would-be drivers.  It might make our roads safer and would certainly cut down traffic.

 

This afternoon whilst driving to and from the doc`s I encountered 2 of these drivers.  The first one was while I was driving there.  The road I have to go down has speed humps the whole length of the road, now everyone with any sense knows that if you drive over these humps too fast the chassis of your car will get damaged.  Obviously the woman in the car behind me was unaware of this fact because she drove so closely to the tail gate of my car that I thought she might like to ride along on my roof.  Now if she thought I was going too slowly (I wasn`t!) all she had to do was overtake...too easy, she just wanted me to go faster (I didn`t!)  When we parted company at the roundabout she waved at me...well no, not a wave... more like gesture, but I won`t elaborate on that!

The 2nd of the 2 erm.....drivers was actually in the doc`s carpark.  I was on my way out of the surgery and going to my car.  She was parked next to me, but between us was a small neat little shrubbery.  Anyway, as I walked to the car she looked right at me and reversed her car, I had to jump back and obviously looked a bit annoyed, she drove back in the parking space, I got into my car.  She then swung her car out of the space, over the shrubbery, just missing my front wing.  She paused for a moment, gave me a filthy look and roared off with her tyres screeching as she went.  She was all of seventeen and the shrubbery was now flattened!  Why did she do it.....who knows?   What I do know is that things have certainly changed since I started driving twenty years ago.  It really worries me because while you are so aggressive you are not concentrating on the road at all.  Oh well, I can only drive to the best of my ability and hope for the best!

What I didn`t say was that I have an eye infection for which I have antibiotic drops be be used three times daily.  That should put it right for the holiday!  For now, Good night all and have a nice peaceful evening!
