I`M BACK AGAIN!

Hello Everyone,      I`m back again in body if not in spirit.  Canada is the most wonderful country and we had a fantastic, though hectic time and I`m still very jet-lagged.  It was a whistle stop tour of the east of the country, starting with the `happening` city of Toronto.  But enough of that,  I`ve have decided to do an entry for each stop on the tour, that way I can post the relevant photos and it will give me time to get it right first time.  So much has happened that one entry isn`t enough.   So what has been happening in J-Land?  I will soon get stuck into the journals and find out what I`ve been missing while I was away.....   Jake was very pleased to see us on Saturday when we got him from the kennels.  He had been ok there but was a little intimidated by the other dogs barking all the time and hadn`t been eating very well.  He didn`t look skinny though and has eaten well since being home with us.  Kerry and Slava brought Roman to see us and we couldn`t believe how much he has grown.  He is four weeks old now and getting quite chubby. He is also very alert now and doesn`t sleep all day, preferring instead to sleep more at night, much to the delight of his mum and dad!  I will have to get a photo of him soon.  We go away again atthe week end to Dorset for a week, Kerry and Little Man are coming with us leaving Slava at home so he can go to work each day.  On Saturday Slava will bring them down there with us and leave a couple of hours later, the cottage has plenty of room and Kerry will enjoy the break by the sea.   When we got home we discovered that we had had an unwelcome visitor.... a mouse!  It had got into two of my cupboards in the kitchen and had left it`s mark .  We cleaned out the cupboards and then Jim taped and blocked up the holes where it must have got in, it`s not been back so it must have done the trick.  In my opinion it tried it`s luck because Jake wasn`t around so I don`t think it will be back again.   Today, being a holiday and with our husbands both working, Kerry and I spent the day here.  It is also very hot and we sat in the shade in the garden, well Kerry did, I just pottered about pulling weeds and cutting back one of the clematis that had died while I was away.  It was infested with some sort of bug that I think must be the cause of it`s demise, maybe it will grow back from the roots next year....we`ll see.  I have repotted the wisteria into one of the half barrels I bought a few months back, I have high hopes for it.   I will now go and read those journals so I will say goodbye and take care.  Tomorrow I will start my Canada postings and I hope you will enjoy them!

Sandra, glad you're home safe and sound.  It will be good to have you back in Journal Land.  Those little ones do change when you don't see them for a time.  We'll be looking forward to a picture of him, too.

So glad you are back.  I missed you.  Glad Jake is ok, and I am sure you were surprised about the mouse.  They must have thought you had moved out forever.  Wrong-O.  Critters try to take charge, when we are not looking.
I would really like to go to Canada sometime.  I am looking forward to hearing all your entries about it and seeing the pics.
